“Composition
The active ingredient is ambroxol hydrochloride.
Each prolonged-release capsule contains 75 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.
Other ingredients:
microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carmellose, hypromellose, acrylic and methacrylic acid ester copolymer, triethyl citrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, iron oxide (II, III), iron oxide hydrate, iron oxide (III), gelatin.
Application
Ambroxol-ratiopharm ® 75 mg is a drug for dissolving mucus in respiratory diseases with thick mucus (expectorant).
Dosage
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older:
1 prolonged-release capsule once a day (equivalent to 75 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day).
Type and duration of use:
Ambroxol-ratiopharm ® 75 mg is taken whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. water, tea or fruit juice) regardless of food.
If you forget to take Ambroxol-ratiopharm ® 75 mg or take too little, continue taking Ambroxol-ratiopharm ® 75 mg next time as directed in the dosing instructions.
Ambroxol-ratiopharm ® 75 mg should not be taken.
if you are allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of the medicine listed in section 6.
