CALCIUM is an element necessary for the proper functioning of the body . It takes part in the formation and mineralization of bone tissue and is needed to maintain healthy, strong bones and teeth . It also contributes to proper blood clotting and determines proper nerve conduction and contractility of striated muscles . It maintains the electrolyte balance of the body, also affects the efficiency of the heart muscle. Supplementation with products rich in calcium is especially recommended:
- in women in the peri- and post-menopausal period
- in all elderly people
