The solution is a combination of a corticosteroid and a corneal agent for use on the skin.
The preparation is used to treat psoriasis (psoriasis vulgaris).

contraindication

The drug must not be used
if you are allergic to betamethasone dipropionate, salicylic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
in viral diseases (e.g. chickenpox)
in bacterial diseases of the skin (such as tuberculosis of the skin, erysipelas or syphilitic skin manifestations)
in fungal diseases of the skin (dermatomycoses)
in vaccination reactions.
The solution must not be used on infants and young children.
Because of the glucocorticoid and salicylic acid content, long-term treatment (longer than 3 weeks) and/or use on large areas of skin (over 10% body surface) must not be carried out. This applies in particular to children and patients with kidney or liver dysfunction.

Dosing of DIPROSALIC solution

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Please follow the instructions for use, otherwise the preparation cannot work properly!
The recommended dose is:
Apply the solution to the affected areas of skin once or twice a day.
For some clinical pictures, once-daily application of the solution is sufficient. The frequency of application can be reduced as the condition improves.
The duration of use should not exceed 3 weeks.
The maximum daily dose for adults of 2 g salicylic acid must not be used for more than 1 week.
If an infection is present, the need for additional antibiotic therapy should be reviewed.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.
Application in children
When using the solution in children, the daily dose of 0.2 g salicylic acid must not be exceeded. In children, a maximum area of less than 10% of the body surface may be treated.
Children should not be treated with the solution for more than 1 week.
If you use more than you should
Excessive, extended use of topically applied corticosteroids (chronic overdose or misuse) can lead to suppression of pituitary-adrenal cortex (ANR) function, resulting in secondary adrenal insufficiency and symptoms of hypercorticism, such as e.g. B. Cushing’s syndrome.
Appropriate symptomatic treatment should be instituted. Acute symptoms of hypercorticism (e.g. full moon face) are largely reversible. If necessary, disturbances in the electrolyte balance should be treated. If chronic toxic damage is present, corticosteroids should be gradually discontinued.
However, such a case has not yet occurred.
Excessive, prolonged use of topically applied preparations containing salicylic acid can cause symptoms of salicylic poisoning (ringing in the ears with hearing loss, nosebleeds, nausea, vomiting, irritability and a feeling of dryness in the mucous membranes). Treatment is symptomatic. Measures to rapidly eliminate the salicylate should be taken, such as oral administration of sodium bicarbonate to alkalize the urine and increase diuresis.

Die Losung ist ein Kombinationspraparat aus einem Kortikosteroid und einem hornhautlosenden Mittel zur Anwendung auf der Haut.
Das Praparat wird angewendet zur Behandlung von Schuppenflechte (Psoriasis vulgaris).

Kontraindikation

Das Arzneimittel darf nicht angewendet werden,
wenn Sie allergisch gegen Betamethasondipropionat (Ph.Eur.), Salicylsaure oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile dieses Arzneimittels sind.
bei virusbedingten Erkrankungen (z. B. Windpocken)
bei bakteriellen Erkrankungen der Haut (wie z. B. Tuberkulose der Haut, Erysipel oder syphilitische Hautmanifestationen)
bei Pilzerkrankungen der Haut (Dermatomykosen)
bei Impfreaktionen.
Die Losung darf nicht bei Sauglingen und Kleinkindern angewendet werden.
Wegen des Gehaltes an Glukokortikoid und Salicylsaure darf eine Langzeitbehandlung (langer als 3 Wochen) und/oder eine Anwendung auf gro?en Hautflachen (uber 10% Korperoberflache) nicht erfolgen. Dies gilt besonders bei Kindern und Patienten mit Nieren- oder Leberfunktionsstorungen.

Dosierung von DIPROSALIC Losung

Wenden Sie dieses Arzneimittel immer genau nach Absprache mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker an. Fragen Sie bei Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker nach, wenn Sie sich nicht sicher sind. Bitte halten Sie sich an die Anwendungsvorschriften, da das Praparat sonst nicht richtig wirken kann!
Die empfohlene Dosis betragt:
Die Losung ein- bis zweimal taglich auf die erkrankten Hautstellen auftragen.
Fur manche Krankheitsbilder ist die einmal tagliche Applikation der Losung ausreichend. Die Haufigkeit der Anwendung kann im Verlauf der Besserung des Krankheitsbildes reduziert werden.
Die Anwendungsdauer sollte 3 Wochen nicht uberschreiten.
Die maximale tagliche Dosis fur Erwachsene von 2 g Salicylsaure darf nicht langer als 1 Woche angewendet werden.
Bei Vorliegen einer Infektion sollte die Notwendigkeit einer zusatzlichen antibiotischen Therapie uberpruft werden.
Bitte sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker, wenn Sie den Eindruck haben, dass die Wirkung zu stark oder zu schwach ist.
Anwendung bei Kindern
Bei der Anwendung der Losung bei Kindern darf die Tagesdosis von 0,2 g Salicylsaure nicht uberschritten werden. Bei Kindern darf maximal eine Flache von weniger als 10% der Korperoberflache behandelt werden.
Kinder durfen nicht langer als 1 Woche mit der Losung behandelt werden.
Wenn Sie eine gro?ere Menge angewendet haben, als Sie sollten
Exzessive ausgedehnte Anwendung von lokal aufgetragenen Kortikosteroiden (chronische Uberdosierung oder Missbrauch) kann zu einer Suppression der Hypophysen-Nebennierenrinden(NNR)-Funktion mit der Folge einer sekundaren NNR-Insuffizienz und zur Symptomatik des Hyperkortizismus, wie z. B. Cushing-Syndrom, fuhren.
Eine angemessene symptomatische Behandlung ist einzuleiten. Akute Symptome des Hyperkortizismus (z. B. „Vollmond-Gesicht) sind weitgehend reversibel. Erforderlichenfalls sind Storungen im Elektrolythaushalt zu behandeln. Bestehen chronisch-toxische Schaden, so sind Kortikosteroide allmahlich abzusetzen.
Ein solcher Fall ist jedoch bisher nicht aufgetreten.
Exzessive ausgedehnte Anwendung von lokal aufgetragenen Zubereitungen mit Salicylsaure konnen Symptome einer Salicylvergiftung (Ohrensausen mit Schwerhorigkeit, Nasenbluten, Ubelkeit, Erbrechen, Reizbarkeit sowie Trockenheitsgefuhl der Schleimhaute) verursachen. Die Behandlung erfolgt symptomatisch. Ma?nahmen zur schnellen Ausscheidung des Salicylats sollten ergriffen werden, wie die orale Verabreichung von Natriumhydrogencarbonat, um den Urin zu alkalisieren und die Diurese zu verstarken.
