Directions
Otinova is an ear spray intended for the treatment of inflammation/eczema of the ear canal.
It is used to treat otitis externa, for example: due to periods of frequent contact with water and/or a humid environment.
How to use and dosage
Hold the bottle upright. Before using the spray for the first time, press it several times to achieve an even spray.
Press the tip of the nozzle to the external auditory canal and press once or twice. Spray the spray into the ear canal once or twice in the morning and evening. After spraying, tilt your head so that the liquid gets as deep into the ear canal as possible. Dry off excess liquid.
If your condition does not improve significantly within 1-3 days, consult a doctor.
Warnings
Do not use Otinova if there is a drainage tube in the eardrum or if there is a suspicion of a perforated eardrum.
Do not use Otinova in children under 5 years of age unless advised otherwise by a doctor (eardrum check).
Seek medical attention if you experience severe discomfort, pain in or around the ear, or if your hearing is impaired.
If you experience severe discomfort, avoid contact with water and do not pick your ear with your fingers. Also avoid soap and shampoo.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Avoid inhalation of spray. Keep out of reach of children.
Otinova may cause temporary mild irritation/burning in the ear canal. If irritation/burning persists or worsens, seek medical attention. Rare cases of local hypersensitivity have been reported. Isolated cases of eardrum perforation have occurred due to extreme exposure to high doses of salt over a continuous period of more than 20 days. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
In case of overdose and/or prolonged use, salt deposits and severe dehydration of the ear canal may form.
Do not take Otinova continuously for more than 7 days.
Storage
Store at room temperature.
Do not use after the expiration date stated on the package.
Shelf life after opening: 6 months.”
