LONOLOX 2.5MG 30 Stk.(Minoxidil)

The medicine prescribed by the doctor is a medicine that lowers blood pressure and belongs to the group of so-called antihypertensive drugs. The active ingredient is called minoxidil.
The medicine is used if it is impossible to achieve sufficient control of blood pressure with other medicines — even in combination (usual triple combination) (treatment-resistant arterial hypertension).
The drug should be prescribed simultaneously with a diuretic and an agent that blocks the action of adrenaline (beta-receptor blockers).
The medicine cannot be taken
if you have a hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active ingredient minoxidil or any of the other ingredients.
if you suffer from high blood pressure in the pulmonary circulation (pulmonary hypertension) due to a narrowing of the valve opening between the left atrium and the left ventricle (mitral stenosis).
if you have a tumor of the adrenal medulla (pheochromocytoma).
