1. What Persen Noc is and what it is used for
Persen Noc is a herbal medicine used to relieve sleep disorders (such as
a feeling of lack of sleep and difficulty falling asleep) and mild states of nervous tension
(e.g. tiredness, nervousness and irritability).
If you do not feel better or feel worse after using Persen
Night continuously for 14 days, talk to your doctor.
2. Important information before using Persen Noc
When not to use Persen Noc
if you are allergic to valerian extract or any of the other
ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Persen Noc.
Children and adolescents
Persen Noc is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age due to
little experience with use in this age group.
Persen Noc and other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you are
using, have recently used or are planning to use, including medicines available without
a prescription.
The simultaneous use of Persen Noc with other medicines used to calm or
relieve nervousness requires the consent of a doctor and should be supervised by him/her.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If a woman is pregnant or breast-feeding, thinks she may be pregnant or is planning to have a baby, she should consult her doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
It is not known whether the compounds contained in valerian pass into breast milk.
Due to the lack of sufficient data, the use of Persen Noc is not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Driving and operating machinery
Persen Noc may affect the ability to drive and operate machinery safely. Patients whose ability to perform these activities is impaired by this medicine should not drive or operate machinery.
- Persen Noc contains sucrose
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor
before taking this medicine.
3. How to use Persen Noc
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Adolescents over 12 years of age, adults and the elderly
Recommended dose:
mild states of nervous tension: 1 tablet up to 3 times a day
sleep disorders: 1 tablet half to one hour before going to bed. If necessary,
an additional dose can be taken earlier in the evening.
A maximum of 4 tablets can be taken per day.
How to use
The tablets should be swallowed with a sufficient amount of fluid (preferably a glass of cool water).
The tablets are coated and should be swallowed whole (i.e. without breaking or chewing) due to
the unpleasant smell and taste of valerian extract.
Duration of treatment
The drug works gradually, so it should not be used to obtain
immediate improvement in mild nervous tension or sleep disorders. The best effects
of treatment are achieved by using the tablets continuously for 2 to 4 weeks.
- Use in children
This medicine is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age due to lack of data.
Taking more Persen Noc than recommended
If you take more than the recommended dose, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Taking too many tablets (10 tablets or more) may cause tiredness,
abdominal cramps, chest tightness, lightheadedness, hand tremors or
dilated pupils. These symptoms usually disappear within 24 hours.
