Warnings
Fexallegra tablets should not be taken if you are allergic to fexofenadine hydrochloride or any other component of this medicine.
Before taking this antihistamine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if it is prescribed to an elderly person or in case of:
– liver or kidney problems; especially if you have severe kidney problems (severe kidney failure);
– heart or circulatory diseases, as this type of medicine may cause a fast or irregular heartbeat;

Interactions
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, even those sold without a prescription. Medicines containing aluminum and magnesium, used to combat excessive stomach acid (antacids), can weaken the effect of Fexallegra by reducing the amount of medicine absorbed. It is recommended to keep an interval of about 2 hours between taking Fexallegra and drugs in this category. Increased absorption of Fexallegra has been shown when used simultaneously with erythromycin (an antibiotic) and ketoconazole (a drug used to treat fungal infections).
Side effects
Like all medicines, this antihistamine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Tell your doctor immediately and stop taking Fexallegra if you experience: swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat and difficulty breathing, as these signs may indicate a serious allergic reaction.”
