Active ingredients:
0.5 mg azelastine hydrochloride
Excipients:
Water for injection
Hypromellose
Disodium edetate-2-water
Sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment
Sorbitol

The medicine contains the active substance azelastine. It belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. Antihistamines prevent the action of substances (such as histamines) produced by the body in connection with an allergic reaction. Azelastine has been shown to reduce eye inflammation.
The medicine can be used to treat and prevent eye diseases caused by hay fever (seasonal allergic conjunctivitis) in adults and children aged 4 years and older.
The medicine can be used to treat eye diseases caused by allergies to substances such as house dust mites and animal dander (non-seasonal (perennial) allergic conjunctivitis) in adults and children aged 12 years and older.
The medicine is not suitable for treating eye infections.

Dosage
Use in adults and children aged 4 years and older:
The usual dose is one drop in each eye in the morning and evening.
If you expect contact with pollen, you can use the usual dose as a preventive measure before leaving the house.

The medicine should not be used if you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active ingredient azelastine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients.”
