Dr. Böhm Sleep and Sleep Through the Night Dragees with Valerian, Passion Flower and Melissa are a traditional herbal medicine containing the active ingredients of three different medicinal plants. The extracts help prepare for sleep with their calming properties, thereby improving the quality of sleep and promoting a good night’s sleep. A traditional herbal medicine for the treatment of nervous disorders that cause difficulty falling asleep and maintaining sleep. Dr. Böhm Ein- und Durchschlaf Dragees should not be taken if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to valerian root, passion flower herb and lemon balm leaves or to any of the other ingredients of this product. Due to insufficient data, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended. Dr. Böhm Ein- und Durchschlaf Dragees contain glucose and sucrose. Recommended dose: Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 2 tablets ½ to 1 hour before bedtime. If needed, 2 more tablets may be taken earlier in the evening. Directions: For oral use. Tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid. Due to insufficient data, use in children under 12 years is not recommended. Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea and abdominal cramps have been reported after taking valerian root extract. Active ingredients: dry extracts of valerian root, passion flower herb and lemon balm leaves. 1 tablet contains: 125 mg dry extract from valerian root (Valerianae radix) (ratio of drug to extract 3-6:1, extractant ethanol 70%, v/v), 80 mg dry extract from passionflower herb (Passiflorae herba), (ratio of drug to extract 5-7:1, extractant ethanol 50%, v/v), 112.5 mg dry extract from lemon balm leaves (Melissae folium) (ratio of drug to extract 4-6:1, extractant methanol 30%, v/v). Other ingredients: gum arabic, bleached wax, calcium carbonate E 170, sodium croscarmellose, carnauba wax, cellulose powder, glucose syrup (dry matter), maltodextrin, shellac (modified), silicon dioxide (anhydrous), stearic acid (vegetable origin), sucrose, talc, tragacanth, titanium dioxide E 171, iron oxide yellow E 172.
