Herbal medicine for use in mild anxiety and sleep disorders. Ingredients 45 mg dry extract of valerian root, (3-6:1), extractant: ethanol 70% (v/v), acacia, sodium carmellose, carnauba wax, dextrin, bleached wax, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, light magnesium oxide, macrogol 4000, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.), microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K 25, sucrose, shellac, talc, titanium dioxide (E171). The drug should not be taken if you are allergic to dry extract of valerian root or any other ingredient of this drug. The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole after meals with a sufficient amount of liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water). Do not take the medicine while lying down. The recommended dose is for adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults: For the treatment of mild nervous tension, 10 to 12 film-coated tablets (each equivalent to approximately 2 g of valerian root) 1 to 3 times daily. For the treatment of sleep disorders, take 10 to 12 film-coated tablets (equivalent to approximately 2 g of valerian root) half an hour to an hour before bedtime. If necessary, an additional 10 to 12 film-coated tablets (equivalent to approximately 2 g of valerian root) may be taken earlier in the evening. Maximum daily dose: 48 film-coated tablets. The medicine is not intended for children under 12 years of age. Use in case of renal/liver dysfunction. There are insufficient data to provide specific dosage recommendations in cases of renal/liver dysfunction. Due to its gradual onset of action, valerian root is not suitable for the acute treatment of mild nervous tension and sleep disorders. For optimal treatment success, it is recommended to continue therapy for 2 to 4 weeks. If you accidentally take two or three times the recommended dose, this will usually not result in adverse effects. If you have significantly overdosed on this medicine, you should contact your doctor. Taking more than 20 grams of valerian root (equivalent to about 100 film-coated tablets) caused the following symptoms: fatigue, abdominal cramps, chest tightness, lightheadedness, trembling hands, and dilated pupils, which disappeared after 24 hours. If symptoms occur, appropriate treatment should be prescribed. If you forget to take the medicine, do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose. If you stop taking the medicine. You can interrupt or stop taking the medicine at any time. Side effects, Gastrointestinal intolerance (eg, nausea, abdominal cramps), skin diseases, skin hypersensitivity reaction (eg, itching, rash, urticaria). The use of the drug is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women. The drug may impair the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery. This is even more true in combination with alcohol. Patients with disabilities should not drive vehicles or operate machinery.
