Pentatop 100 mg. antiallergic, anti-inflammatory agent.
Composition-Sodium cromoglycate
It has antiallergic and anti-inflammatory action. It contains sodium cromoglycate, which is
a prophylactically effective antiallergic agent and a mast cell stabilizer.
It is used for food allergies that do not respond to treatment by refusing to eat the food that causes it (absence of the allergen).
Take 15-30 minutes before meals. The capsules should either be swallowed whole with a small amount of water, or –
especially recommended for food allergies – take the contents of the capsules dissolved in 2-3 tablespoons of hot water
Dosage:
Always apply the capsules exactly as instructed. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not completely sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over take 2 capsules (equivalent to a total of 800 mg sodium cromoglycate) four times daily. Children aged two to fourteen years take one capsule (equivalent to a total of 400 mg sodium cromoglycate) four times daily. For infants and young children aged two months to two years, the daily dose is 20-40 mg / kg of body weight. If possible, they should be divided into four equal-sized doses.
Single doses should be administered before each meal. To do this, if necessary, it is necessary to divide the contents of one capsule
between several gifts. If necessary, the dose may be increased to 5 capsules four times daily for adults and to 2 capsules maximum four times daily for children aged two to fourteen years (equivalent to 800 mg sodium cromoglycate in total) for children aged two to fourteen years. However, the daily dose should not exceed 40 mg/kg body weight.
When the desired effect ceases, the dose can be gradually
reduced to the level necessary to maintain the absence of symptoms.
PENTATOP should be administered orally
Adults (including the elderly)
Initial dose: 2 capsules four times daily before meals
Children (2 – 14 years)
Initial dose: 1 capsule four times daily before meals
For adults (including the elderly) and children, if satisfactory control is not achieved within two to three weeks, the dosage may be doubled, but should not exceed 40 mg / kg / day.
Maintenance dose: After achieving a therapeutic response, the dose may be reduced to the minimum necessary to maintain the patient free of symptoms.
