The drug contains a combination of D-camphor and hawthorn fruit extract as an active ingredient.
The drug is used for dizziness caused by low blood pressure, especially when getting up after lying down, bending over or sitting for a long time (hypotonic and orthostatic circulatory disorders).
Active ingredients
25 mg D-camphor
973 mg liquid hawthorn berry extract (1:1.3-1.5); Extraction agent: ethanol 93% (vol/vol)
Excipients
Levomenthol, Ethanol 60% (vol/vol).
The medicine should not be taken
if you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to D-camphor or hawthorn or any other component of the drug,
infants and children under 2 years of age (risk of laryngeal spasm),
patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases accompanied by severe hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract, which is due to the content of camphor.
Inhalation of drops may cause shortness of breath or provoke an asthma attack.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed.
Unless otherwise prescribed, take 10 drops 3 times a day, chewing a piece of sugar in the mouth or a piece of bread (for diabetics), or drip the medicine undiluted on the tongue if the medicinal taste does not bother you.
Depending on the severity of symptoms, the dosage can be increased to 25 drops 3 times a day after consulting a doctor.
In case of attacks of weakness and approaching fainting, take 5-10 drops at 15-minute intervals until improvement occurs.
Depending on the nature of the symptoms, the drug can also be used for long-term therapy.
Side effects
Headaches, dizziness, anxiety, sleep disturbances, increased heart rate, angina attacks and gastrointestinal complaints have been reported.
In very large doses, hawthorn preparations can cause heart rhythm disturbances and a drop in blood pressure.
Camphor, which is part of the drug, can cause spasms of the larynx in infants and children under 2 years of age, which leads to serious breathing difficulties.
The use of the drug is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women.
