• Description
  The active substance of Biosteron is dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a steroid hormone produced in the adrenal glands and released into the blood. In various tissues, DHEA is converted into active sex hormones: estrogens and androgens. The highest concentrations of DHEA in serum occur in youth (2nd and 3rd decade of life), followed by a slow decline, to approx. 10-20% in people aged 80.
• Indications
  Biosteron is indicated for the purpose of supplementing deficiencies of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). DHEA deficiency may cause adverse phenomena associated with the aging process, such as:

weakening of memory, intellectual efficiency, ability to concentrate;

worsening of well-being and depression;
mental and physical ailments associated with menopause in women and andropause in men;
reduced muscle strength, feeling of excessive fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome;
reduced resistance to stress;
decreased libido and decreased sexual performance;
obesity, decreased tissue sensitivity to insulin, which can cause diabetes;
atherosclerosis;
sleep disorders;
decreased body resistance to viral and bacterial infections.
Supplementing DHEA deficiency can counteract the above-mentioned processes and phenomena, and as a result improve the health and quality of life of aging people.
