Indications
Indications for use are:
– states of increased demand for calcium: period of intensive growth in children
and adolescents and during pregnancy and lactation;
– improper nutrition with products poor in calcium;2
– disturbances of calcium reabsorption from the renal tubules;
– decreased blood calcium levels with increased phosphorus levels in patients
with chronic renal failure, undergoing dialysis and preventing increased
neuromuscular excitability;
– prophylactically in the prevention and complementary treatment of osteoporosis;
– conditions after long-term immobilization and the period of convalescence after bone fractures;
– supportive in the treatment of colds and allergic diseases.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients;
hypercalcemia due to hyperparathyroidism, hyperthyroidism, hypervitaminosis D, decalcifying tumors without bone metastases, tumors with bone metastases, severe renal impairment, sarcoidosis;
severe hypercalciuria;
kidney stones;
treatment with digitalis glycosides.
