indication

The medicinal product contains the active substance ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that belongs to the fluoroquinolone group. Ciprofloxacin works by killing bacteria that cause infections. It only works on certain strains of bacteria.
Adult
The preparation is used in adults to treat the following bacterial infections:
certain respiratory infections
certain long-lasting or recurring infections of the ears or sinuses
urinary tract infections
Infections of the genital organs in men and women
Gastrointestinal infections and abdominal infections
certain skin and soft tissue infections
Bone and joint infections
Prevention of infections caused by the bacterium Neisseria meningitidis
Treatment after inhalation of anthrax pathogens
Ciprofloxacin can be used to treat patients who have a low number of certain white blood cells (neutropenia) and fever that is suspected to be caused by a bacterial infection.
If you have a severe infection or an infection caused by different types of bacteria, you may need additional antibiotic treatment.

The medicine is used in children and adolescents under the supervision of a specialist doctor to treat the following bacterial infections:
Infections of the lungs and bronchi in children and adolescents suffering from cystic fibrosis
complicated urinary tract infections, including infections involving the kidneys (pyelonephritis)
Treatment after inhalation of anthrax pathogens
The medicine can also be used to treat other specific serious infections in children and adolescents if your doctor thinks it is necessary.

contraindication

The drug must not be taken
if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin, other quinolone preparations or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
if you are taking tizanidine.

Kontraindikation

Das Arzneimittel darf nicht eingenommen werden,
wenn Sie allergisch gegen Ciprofloxacin, andere Chinolonprдparate oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile dieses Arzneimittels sind.
