Menthol Skin Powder 1% is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of skin rashes caused by exanthematous diseases, irritations including chafing, itching and burning from insect bites, sunburn and burns.
Method of administration and dosage
Spray evenly onto the affected area 2 or more times daily.
Warnings
The medicine should be used externally only; do not inhale and do not apply to eyes or mucous membranes.
It should not be applied to open wounds or surgical gloves.
The medicine should be used with caution in children under 6 years of age.
Regular use in daily hygiene of a child is not recommended, as inhalation may cause lung irritation with the risk of severe breathing difficulties and death.
If it is suspected that a child has inhaled the medicine, respiratory function should be closely monitored, as the onset of symptoms may be delayed for several hours.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
There is no clinical data on the effects of menthol on pregnancy.
Caution should be exercised when prescribing the drug to pregnant women.
