• Ginkofar Intense 120 mg contains a quantified extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves, which improves blood flow in the brain, dilates blood vessels and prevents platelet aggregation. The active substances of the extract are considered to be flavonoid glycosides, ginkgolides and bilobalide.
• Indications:
  Ginkofar Intense is used:

to improve cognitive abilities in the elderly (age-related memory and mental performance impairment),
to improve the quality of life in mild dementia. The product is indicated for use in adults.
Active substance: Ginkgo bilobae folium

• Composition:
  Each coated tablet contains 120 mg Ginkgonis extractum siccum raffinatum et quantificatum

quantified dry extract of Ginkgo biloba L., folium (ginkgo leaf) (35 – 67 : 1), which corresponds to:

26.4 to 32.4 mg flavonoids in terms of flavone glycosides,
3.36 to 4.08 mg ginkgolides A, B and C,  3.12 to 3.84 mg bilobalide,
Solvent used for the first extraction: acetone 65% (v/v).

Excipients with known effect: lactose monohydrate 30 mg.

• Dosage:
  The recommended dose for adults is 2 tablets per day (one tablet in the morning and one in the evening).

Children and adolescents

Ginkofar Intense should not be used in children and adolescents.

Duration of use:
Treatment should last at least 8 weeks. If after 3 months of use there is no improvement or if symptoms have worsened, consult a doctor to determine whether continuing treatment is justified.

Method of administration:
Ginkofar Intense is taken orally.

The tablets should be swallowed with water. They can be taken regardless of meals.

• Warnings:
  This is a medicine. For safety, use it according to the leaflet enclosed in the package. Do not exceed the maximum dose of the medicine. If in doubt, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

If hypersensitivity symptoms occur, discontinue use of the product.

If there is no improvement or if symptoms worsen during use of the product, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

People with a pathologically increased tendency to bleed (hemorrhagic diathesis) and people undergoing antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy should consult a doctor before using Ginkofar Intense.

Preparations containing ginkgo biloba extract may increase the tendency to bleed. In the case of a planned surgical or dental procedure, it is recommended to stop using the product at least 3-4 days before the planned procedure.

In patients with epilepsy, the occurrence of further seizures caused by taking preparations containing ginkgo extract cannot be ruled out.
