- Indications
Short-term use in sporadic insomnia in adults.
Occasional insomnia may occur especially in the case of difficulty falling asleep, frequent nighttime awakenings, early morning wake-ups related to stress or time zone changes.
Sleep disorders can negatively affect physiological processes and lead to a decrease in psychophysical efficiency. We talk about insomnia, among others, when: the time it takes to fall asleep exceeds half an hour, the total time waking up during the night lasts longer than half an hour, such a disturbance occurs for at least three nights in a given week and poor sleep quality causes fatigue or reduced psychophysical efficiency during the day.
Temporarily occurring sleep disorders may be caused by various factors, such as: stress, illnesses, anxiety, personal or work-related problems, fatigue related to time zone changes. Diphenhydramine contained in the drug Luminastil shortens the time it takes to fall asleep and increases the depth and quality of sleep. 2
Taking medication is not the primary method of treating sleep disorders and should be limited to short-term use only. Prolonged poor sleep quality may be a symptom of mental and physical disorders that require other methods of treatment, which should be assessed by a doctor. It is also necessary to consult a doctor if you experience symptoms other than insomnia.
