- This medicine is an antiemetic. It contains an active substance called metoclopramide. This works in the part of your brain that prevents you from feeling sick (nausea) or vomiting (vomiting).
- The medicine is used in adults
- for the prevention of delayed nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy,
- to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by radiotherapy,
- to treat nausea and vomiting, including nausea and vomiting that may occur in association with a migraine.
- Metoclopramide can be taken with oral painkillers in case of migraine to increase the effect of the painkillers.
- Children and young people
- The medicine is used in children and adolescents (aged 9-18 years) after chemotherapy to prevent delayed nausea and delayed vomiting when other treatments fail or are not an option.
