“Ingredients and composition
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
Ibuprofen.
EXCIPIENTS:
Filler: macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, purified water.
Gelatin shell: gelatin, liquid sorbitol (E420), ponceau 4R (E124).
Ink: titanium dioxide (E171), propylene glycol, hypromellose (E464).
Technological additives: triglycerides (medium chain), lecithin (E322).

Directions
Nurofencaps is indicated for adults, children and adolescents weighing over 40 kg (over 12 years) for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, menstrual pain, toothache and pain associated with colds.

Method of administration and dosage
For oral use and only for a short period of treatment.
Capsules should not be chewed.
Undesirable effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to control symptoms.
Adults, children and adolescents over 40 kg (over 12 years): Initial dose – one capsule, swallow with water.
Thereafter, if necessary, one capsule every 6 hours.
Do not exceed a dose of 3 capsules (1200 mg) in 24 hours.
If it is necessary to use the drug for more than 3 days in children and adolescents aged 12 to 18 years or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.
If it is necessary to use the drug for more than 3 days in adults for fever and more than 4 days for pain treatment or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.
Patients with problems of gastric sensitivity are advised to take the drug on a full stomach.
The onset of effect may be delayed if the medicine is taken shortly after a meal.
If this happens, do not take more than the recommended dose or wait until the required time has passed between one dose and the next.
Elderly: No special dose adjustment is required.
Elderly people should be especially closely monitored due to possible side effects.
Renal impairment: No dose reduction is required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment.
Liver impairment: No dose reduction is required in patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment.

Contraindications
Do not take NUROFEN 400 mg capsules in the following cases:
after 5 months of pregnancy (24 weeks of amenorrhea),
history of allergy or asthma caused by this or related drugs, including other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin),
history of allergy to other components of the gel,
history of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers due to previous NSAID therapy,
active or recurrent ulcer or bleeding from the stomach or intestines,
ongoing gastrointestinal bleeding, cerebral hemorrhage or other bleeding,
severe liver disease,
severe kidney disease,
severe heart disease,
systemic lupus erythematosus.”
