Mucosolvan oral solution 100 ml contains ambroxol hydrochloride 30 mg per 5 ml, a clinically proven mucolytic that thins thick bronchial mucus, supports mucociliary clearance, and eases productive cough in acute or chronic bronchopulmonary conditions . It also offers a mild local anesthetic effect, helping to soothe sore throat discomfort .

How it Works:
Ambroxol breaks down sputum by cleaving mucopolysaccharide fibers, increasing secretion, boosting ciliary activity, and enhancing surfactant production in the lungs .

Recommended Dosing:

• Adults & adolescents (12+): 10 ml twice or three times daily (initially 3×10 ml for first 2–3 days, then reduce to 2×10 ml) 

• Children 6–12 years: 5 ml, 2–3 times daily

• Children 2–5 years: 2.5 ml, 3 times daily

• Young children under 2 years: medical advice required

Dosage
Children under 2 years of age can take Mukozolvan cough syrup only on the recommendation of a doctor. The usual dosage: take 1.25 ml of solution twice a day.
Children 2 to 5 years old: Take 1.25 ml of the solution 3 times a day
Children 6 to 12 years old: Take 2.5 ml of the solution 2 to 3 times a day.
Adults and adolescents 12 years and older: Take 5 ml of the solution 3 times a day for the first 2 to 3 days. Then take 5 ml of the solution twice a day.
If necessary, the effectiveness of the dose for adults and adolescents 12 years and older can be increased by taking 10 ml of the solution twice a day.
