“Directions
Zinc oxide 10% is useful for the soothing and protective treatment of eczema, dermatoses and minor abrasions.
Composition
Active ingredients
100 g of ointment contain Active substance: zinc oxide 10.0 g. For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1.
Excipients
White petrolatum, liquid paraffin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218).
Method of administration and dosage
The ointment is applied topically 1-2 times a day to thoroughly washed and dried skin. Due to its astringent and decongestant action, it can also be used for irritated skin (e.g. diaper rash). Apply a layer of ointment to the affected area (especially when treating diaper rash); for burns and non-infectious skin lesions, it is preferable to apply the ointment in a thin layer, applying a bandage if necessary. Perform a light circular massage of the affected area so that the ointment is partially absorbed, leaving an opaque white residue.”
