“Composition
The active substance of the drug is bromhexine hydrochloride (Bromhexini hydrochloride).
1 orodispersible tablet contains 4 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride (Bromhexini hydrochloride).
Excipients: mannitol; crospovidone (type B); sucralose; colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide; magnesium stearate; strawberry flavoring agent in the composition: natural flavoring agents, flavoring agents, corn maltodextrin, modified waxy corn starch.
Dosage
Adults, including the elderly: 2 tablets 3 times a day. At the beginning of treatment, it may be necessary to increase the dose to 48 mg (maximum dose) (4 tablets 3 times a day, which is equivalent to 48 mg of bromhexine).
Adolescents over 12 years: 2 tablets 3 times a day, up to a maximum of 12 tablets per day (equivalent to 48 mg bromhexine).
Children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet 3 times a day, up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day (equivalent to 16 mg bromhexine).
Children aged 2 to 6 years: half a tablet 3 times a day, up to a maximum of 2 tablets per day (equivalent to 8 mg bromhexine).
Flegtac ORO should be taken orally.
Flegtac ORO tablets should not be handled with wet hands, as they may disintegrate. The Flegtac ORO orodispersible tablet should be placed in the mouth, where it will quickly dissolve in saliva and can be easily swallowed. Alternatively, the tablet can be dissolved by spoonful in a small amount of drinking water immediately before administration. The dose should be taken immediately after opening the blister. The tablet can be divided into equal doses. The remaining half of the tablet should be placed in the opened blister and used no later than the next day.
Caution should be exercised when prescribing the drug to small children due to the risk of suffocation.
The drug should be taken at regular intervals, after meals. The drug should not be taken immediately before bedtime.
The drug should not be used for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor. If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 5 days of use in adults or after 3 days in children from 2 years of age, consult a doctor.
Action
Flegtak ORO acts mainly by clearing the bronchial tree of thick mucous secretions that accompany many respiratory diseases. After administration of the drug, the volume of mucous secretions increases and its viscosity decreases. It has an expectorant effect, bromhexine facilitates expectoration and relieves coughing.
Indications
Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory system with impaired expectoration and mucus separation.
Contraindications
The drug should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the ingredients of the drug, as well as in children under 2 years of age.”
