indication

The tablets contain two substances called amlodipine and valsartan. Both substances help control high blood pressure.
Amlodipine belongs to a group of substances called ‘calcium channel blockers’. Amlodipine stops the flow of calcium into the blood vessel walls. This prevents the blood vessels from narrowing.
Valsartan belongs to a group of substances called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Angiotensin II is a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to narrow, thereby increasing blood pressure. Valsartan works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II blocked.
This means that these two substances help prevent blood vessels from narrowing. As a result, blood vessels expand and blood pressure decreases.
The medicine is used to treat high blood pressure in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with either amlodipine or valsartan alone.

contraindication

The drug must not be taken
if you are allergic to amlodipine or other calcium channel blockers. This may include itching, reddening of the skin or difficulty breathing
if you are allergic to valsartan or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. If you think you may be allergic, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine
if you have severe liver or bile problems such as cirrhosis of the liver originating from the bile ducts (biliary) or a problem with the drainage of the bile ducts,
if you have severe kidney problems or are on dialysis,
if you are more than 3 months pregnant. (The preparation is also not recommended during early pregnancy),
if you have very low blood pressure (hypotension),
if you have a narrowing of the aortic valve (aortic stenosis) or you are in cardiogenic shock (a condition where your heart is no longer able to pump enough blood into your body),
if you suffer from heart failure after a heart attack,
if you have diabetes mellitus or impaired kidney function and are being treated with a blood pressure lowering medicine containing aliskiren.
If any of the above apply to you, tell your doctor without taking the medicine.

Indikation

Die Tabletten enthalten zwei Substanzen, die Amlodipin und Valsartan genannt werden. Beide Substanzen helfen, einen hohen Blutdruck zu kontrollieren.
Amlodipin gehort zu einer Gruppe von Substanzen, die „Calcium-Kanal-Blocker genannt werden. Amlodipin stoppt den Einstrom von Calcium in die Wand der Blutgefa?e. Dies verhindert, dass sich die Blutgefa?e verengen.
Valsartan gehort zu einer Gruppe von Substanzen, die „Angiotensin-II-Rezeptor-Antagonisten genannt werden. Angiotensin II ist eine korpereigene Substanz, die Blutgefa?e veranlasst, sich zu verengen und dadurch den Blutdruck steigert. Valsartan wirkt, indem es die Effekte von Angiotensin II blockiert.
Dies bedeutet, dass diese beiden Substanzen helfen eine Verengung der Blutgefa?e zu verhindern. Im Ergebnis erweitern sich die Blutgefa?e und der Blutdruck wird verringert.
Das Arzneimittel wird verwendet, um einen hohen Blutdruck bei Erwachsenen zu behandeln, deren Blutdruck entweder mit Amlodipin oder Valsartan alleine nicht ausreichend kontrolliert werden kann.

Kontraindikation

Das Arzneimittel darf nicht eingenommen werden,
wenn Sie allergisch gegen Amlodipin oder andere Kalziumkanal-Blocker sind. Dies kann Juckreiz, Hautrotung oder Atembeschwerden beinhalten,
wenn Sie allergisch gegen Valsartan oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile dieses Arzneimittels sind. Wenn Sie glauben, Sie konnten allergisch sein, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, bevor Sie das Arzneimittel einnehmen,
wenn Sie schwere Probleme mit der Leber oder Galle wie eine von den Gallengangen ausgehende (biliare) Leberzirrhose oder eine Abflussstorung der Gallenwege haben,
wenn Sie schwere Probleme mit den Nieren haben oder dialysepflichtig sind,
wenn Sie seit uber 3 Monaten schwanger sind. (Das Praparat wird auch wahrend der Fruhschwangerschaft nicht empfohlen),
wenn Sie einen sehr niedrigen Blutdruck haben (Hypotonie),
wenn Sie eine Verengung der Aortenklappe haben (Aortenstenose) oder Sie einen kardiogenen Schock haben (ein Zustand, bei dem Ihr Herz nicht mehr fahig ist, Ihren Korper mit genug Blut zu versorgen),
wenn Sie an Herzinsuffizienz nach einem Herzinfarkt leiden,
wenn Sie Diabetes mellitus oder eine eingeschrankte Nierenfunktion haben und mit einem blutdrucksenkenden Arzneimittel, das Aliskiren enthalt, behandelt werden.
Wenn einer der oben erwahnten Punkte auf Sie zutrifft, sagen Sie es Ihrem Arzt, ohne das Arzneimittel einzunehmen.
