indication

The preparation is an azalide antibiotic from the macrolide group, which prevents sensitive bacteria from growing.
It is used in the following infections caused by azithromycin-sensitive pathogens:
Infections of the upper respiratory tract, including inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis), inflammation of the throat (pharyngitis) and inflammation of the tonsils (tonsilitis)
Lower respiratory tract infections, including bronchitis and inflammation of the lungs (pneumonia)
Inflammation of the middle ear (acute otitis media)
Skin and soft tissue infections
uncomplicated genital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis or Neisseria gonorrhoeae (non-multiresistant strains)
The generally accepted recommendations for the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents must be taken into account when using them.

contraindication

The film-coated tablets must not be taken
if you are allergic to the active substance azithromycin, to erythromycin, to other macrolide or ketolide antibiotics or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage of Zithromax

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 45 kg body weight: dosage for the treatment of
Upper and lower respiratory tract infections
Inflammation of the middle ear (acute otitis media)
Skin and soft tissue infections
The total dose is 1.5 g of azithromycin, which can be taken according to either the 3-day regimen or the 5-day regimen.
3-day therapy regimen
It is taken 2 film-coated tablets (500 mg azithromycin) once a day for 3 days.
5-day therapy regimen
Alternatively, a 5-day therapy can be carried out, whereby on the 1st day 2 film-coated tablets (500 mg azithromycin) and on the following 4 days 1 film-coated tablet (250 mg azithromycin) are taken daily.

Indikation

Das Präparat ist ein Azalid-Antibiotikum aus der Gruppe der Makrolide, das empfindliche Bakterien am Wachstum hindert.
Es wird angewendet bei folgenden Infektionen, die durch Azithromycin-empfindliche Erreger hervorgerufen sind:
Infektionen der oberen Atemwege, inklusive Nasennebenhöhlenentzündung (Sinusitis), Rachenentzündung (Pharyngitis) und Entzündung der Gaumenmandeln (Tonsillitis)
Infektionen der unteren Atemwege, inklusive Bronchitis und Lungenentzündung (Pneumonie)
Mittelohrentzündung (akute Otitis media)
Haut- und Weichteilinfektionen
unkomplizierte Genitalinfektionen durch Chlamydia trachomatis oder Neisseria gonorrhoeae (nicht multiresistente Stämme)
Die allgemein anerkannten Empfehlungen für den angemessenen Gebrauch von antimikrobiellen Wirkstoffen sind bei der Anwendung zu berücksichtigen.

Kontraindikation

Die Filmtablett-en dürfen nicht eingenommen werden,
wenn Sie allergisch gegen den Wirkstoff Azithromycin, gegen Erythromycin, gegen andere Makrolid- oder Ketolid-Antibiotika oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile dieses Arzneimittels sind.

Dosierung von Zithromax

Nehmen Sie dieses Arzneimittel immer genau nach Absprache mit Ihrem Arzt ein. Fragen Sie bei Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker nach, wenn Sie sich nicht sicher sind.
Falls vom Arzt nicht anders verordnet, ist die übliche Dosis:
Erwachsene und Jugendliche über 45 kg Köpergewicht: Dosierung zur Behandlung von
Infektionen der oberen und unteren Atemwege
Mittelohrentzündung (akute Otitis media)
Haut- und Weichteilinfektionen
Die Gesamtdosis beträgt 1,5 g Azithromycin, die entweder nach dem 3-Tage-Therapieschema oder dem 5-Tage-Therapieschema eingenommen werden kann.
3-Tage-Therapieschema
Es wird 3 Tage lang einmal täglich 2 Filmtabletten (500 mg Azithromycin) eingenommen.
5-Tage-Therapieschema
Alternativ kann eine 5-Tage-Therapie durchgeführt werden, wobei am 1. Tag 2 Filmtabletten (500 mg Azithromycin) und an den folgenden 4 Tagen jeweils 1 Filmtablette (250 mg Azithromycin) täglich eingenommen werden.
