indication

The medicine belongs to the group of antiviral medicines. It works by inhibiting the growth of viruses such as herpes simplex virus (HSV), varicella zoster virus (VZV) and cytomegalovirus (CMV).
The medicine is applied
to treat shingles (in adults)
to treat HSV skin infections and genital herpes (in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age). It is also used to prevent these infections from coming back.

contraindication

The drug must not be taken

Dosage of Valtrex

The usual dose is 1000 mg (two 500 mg tablets) three times a day.

Kontraindikation

Dosierung von Valtrex

Die ьbliche Dosis betrдgt 500 mg (eine 500 mg-Tablette) 2-mal tдglich.
Bei der ersten Infektion nehmen Sie das Prдparat 5 Tage lang ein oder, falls Ihr Arzt es Ihnen so verordnet, bis zu 10 Tage lang. Bei wieder auftretenden Infektionen betrдgt die Dauer der Behandlung normalerweise 3 bis 5 Tage.
Vermeidung des Wiederauftretens von HSV-Infektionen, wenn Sie schon einmal eine HSV-Infektion hatten
Die ьbliche Dosis ist eine 500 mg-Tablette 1-mal tдglich.
Nehmen Sie das Prдparat so lange ein, bis Ihnen Ihr Arzt sagt, dass Sie die Einnahme beenden sollen.
Vorbeugung einer Infektion mit CMV (Zytomegalie-Virus)
Die ьbliche Dosis betrдgt 2000 mg (vier 500 mg-Tabletten) 4-mal tдglich.
Nehmen Sie die Dosen im Abstand von etwa 6 Stunden ein.
Ьblicherweise werden Sie so bald wie mцglich nach Ihrer Operation mit der Einnahme beginnen.
Nehmen Sie das Prдparat nach Ihrer Operation etwa 90 Tage lang ein, bis Ihnen Ihr Arzt sagt, dass Sie die Einnahme beenden sollen.
