Casodex 50mg Filmtabletten 90 Stk.(Bicalutamid), Casodex 50mg film-coated tablets

The drug is a drug that suppresses the action of the male sex hormone (testosterone) (non-steroidal antiandrogen).
It is used as a combination therapy at a dosage of 50 mg for:
common prostate cancer, in which the effect of the male sex hormone should be suppressed as much as possible along with measures to reduce testosterone levels.
Used in a dosage of 150 mg (3 tablets of 50 mg once a day, film-coated) for:
locally advanced prostate cancer and high risk of disease progression
as sole therapy or
in addition to radiation therapy or surgical removal of the prostate.
The medicine cannot be taken
if you are allergic to bicalutamide or any other ingredient of this medicine,
if you are also taking certain medicines for digestive disorders that contain the active ingredient cisapride (see Interactions category)
if you are also taking certain allergy medicines containing the active ingredients terfenadine or astemizole (see Interactions category)
