Pharmacology
It forms slowly dissociating (dissociation half-life – 30 days) complexes with intracellular 5-alpha-reductase, inhibits the conversion of testosterone to active 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone, which causes the growth of prostate tissue or the development of its benign hyperplasia.
Quickly and almost completely (bioavailability 80%) is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Cmax is reached in 1-2 hours. Plasma protein binding is 90%. Excreted as metabolites by the kidneys (39%) and through the intestines (57%), T1 / 2 6-8 hours.
Long-term (3-7 months) administration at a dose of 5 mg per day reduces the concentration of 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone in the blood serum by 70%. Reduces the volume of the gland, normalizes altered urodynamics: increases the maximum rate of urine flow and the degree of patency of the urinary tract. In 50% of patients, clinical symptoms disappear after 12 months.
Indications for use
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (to reduce the size of the prostate gland, increase the maximum rate of urine outflow and reduce symptoms associated with hyperplasia; reduce the risk of acute urinary retention and the associated likelihood of surgery).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, urinary tract obstruction, prostate cancer.
Application restrictions
Impaired liver function, obstructive uropathy.

Schnell und fast vollständig (Bioverfügbarkeit 80%) wird aus dem Gastrointestinaltrakt resorbiert. Cmax wird in 1-2 Stunden erreicht Die Plasmaproteinbindung beträgt 90 %. Ausgeschieden als Metaboliten durch die Nieren (39%) und durch den Darm (57%), T1 / 2 6-8 Stunden.

Hinweise zur Verwendung

Kontraindikationen
Überempfindlichkeit, Harnwegsobstruktion, Prostatakrebs.
Anwendungsbeschränkungen
Eingeschränkte Leberfunktion, obstruktive Uropathie.
