Lenil Antiprurito is a cream for the topical symptomatic treatment of insect bites and other localized skin irritations such as redness, burning, itching and sunburn.
Method of administration and dosage
Apply the cream 2-3 times a day to the affected area. Avoid applying to very large areas exceeding 10% of the body surface. Do not exceed the recommended doses.
Warnings
Prolonged and incorrect use of the drug may lead to allergic sensitization with subsequent worsening of symptoms. In this case, treatment should be stopped and a doctor should be consulted to prescribe appropriate therapy. Since the use of Lenil Antiprurito can slow down the healing process, the medicine should not be used for more than 3-4 days in a row on the affected areas where this phenomenon occurs. In case of sunburn, apply the medicine and avoid further exposure of the irritated skin to sunlight. If a skin rash, irritation and burning sensation appear, treatment should be stopped. Important information about some excipients. Lenil antipruritic cream 2% contains:
bronopol and cetostearyl alcohol: may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis);
BHA and BHT: may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis) or irritation of the eyes or other mucous membranes;
parahydroxybenzoates: may cause allergic reactions (even delayed);
propylene glycol: may cause skin irritation.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnant women should use the drug only if absolutely necessary and under medical supervision.
Composition
Active ingredients: promethazine hydrochloride 2.26 g, which corresponds to 2.0 g of promethazine.
Excipients: white petrolatum, cetostearyl alcohol, ethoxylated cetostearyl alcohol, hydrogenated fatty acids, sodium lauryl sulfate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, dimethicone, sodium dehydroacetate, isopropyl myristate, bronopol, disodium EDTA, PEG-20 monostearate, BHA, BHT, hexylene glycol, citric acid monohydrate, glyceryl oleate, ascorbyl palmitate, fragrance, purified water.”
