Therapeutically: usually 2 coated tablets three times a day during or after meals; in severe deficiencies 2 coated tablets 4 times a day.
Preventive: approximately 60 mg of iron (3 coated tablets) daily in divided doses.
Therapeutically in children over 3 years of age: 4 mg to 6 mg of iron per kg of body weight per day in divided doses.
Preventive: 2 mg per kg of body weight daily in divided doses.
iron deficiency states associated with blood loss
states of increased body demand for iron (in children during intensive growth, during pregnancy and breastfeeding);
conditions associated with absorption disorders or a diet containing too little iron.
in case of blood diseases: hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis (pigmentary cirrhosis characterized by increased absorption and excessive deposition of iron in internal organs), hemolytic and aplastic anemia, proliferative diseases;
in case of liver cirrhosis;
in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug.
Gastrointestinal disorders: Diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, epigastric pain.
Immune system disorders: Hypersensitivity reactions.
