Polopiryna S contains acetylsalicylic acid, which has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.

• Indications
  A drug for use in the case of mild to moderate pain, ailments associated with colds and flu with fever, medical conditions requiring long-term use of acetylsalicylic acid in high doses, myocardial infarction and prophylaxis of myocardial infarction.
• Composition
  active substance: acetylsalicylic acid

excipients: corn starch, powdered cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose.

• Dosage
  Analgesic and antipyretic:
• Adults: 300–600 mg (1–2 tablets) every 4 hours. Do not use more than 3 g per day.

Adolescents after 16 years of age: 600–900 mg (2–3 tablets) daily.

In inflammatory conditions according to the doctor’s recommendations, usually:

in rheumatic fever 900 mg (3 tablets) 4 times daily;
in rheumatoid arthritis 600 mg (2 tablets) 3–4 times daily.
Recent heart attack and prevention of recurrent heart attack:

150–300 mg (0.5–1 tablet) once daily.
The preparation is intended for oral use. The tablets are best taken during or after a meal, with plenty of fluid. The tablet can also be dissolved in 0.5 glass of water or milk.

Contraindications
Polopiryny S should not be given to children under 16 years of age.

The preparation is not recommended in case of allergy to acetylsalicylic acid or any of the other ingredients of the drug.
