Composition
Active ingredients
600 mg dry extract of devil’s claw root (1.5-2.5:1), Water (extractant).
Excipients
20.31 mg sucrose, talc, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, calcium carbonate, 169.5 mg lactose monohydrate, cellulose powder, sodium carboxymethyl starch type A.
Scope
Dr. Boehm’s 600 mg film-coated tablets are a traditional herbal medicine for the supportive treatment of mild back, neck and muscle pain, morning stiffness, as well as mild tendon and joint pain, such as in the knees, hips or shoulders, as well as rheumatic complaints in adults.
Dosage
The recommended dose is
Adults: 2 film-coated tablets per day (1 film-coated tablet in the morning and evening). The dose can be increased to 2 film-coated tablets in the morning and evening.
Children and adolescents under 18 years of age:
Due to insufficient data, the use of the drug in children and adolescents under 18 years of age cannot be recommended.
Type of administration
Oral. Film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of liquid, such as a glass of water, during or after meals.
Duration of use
The effect of the drug Dr. Boehm’s Devil’s Claw 600 mg – film-coated tablets does not occur immediately, but becomes noticeable only after several days of treatment.
Contraindications
You should not use Dr. Boehm’s Devil’s Claw 600 mg film-coated tablets if you are allergic to devil’s claw or any of the other ingredients in this medicine, or if you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Gastrointestinal complaints (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain) have been reported.
Headaches, dizziness, and allergic skin reactions (rash, hives, swelling of the face) may occur.
