• Product description:
  Dorminox is a drug in the form of coated tablets indicated for the short-term treatment of symptoms of sporadic insomnia in adults. The active substance of the medicinal product is doxylamine, which belongs to the group of antihistamines with hypnotic and sedative effects.

Sleep is an extremely important element of the circadian rhythm of every person. Sleep disorders can negatively affect physiological processes, as well as lead to a decrease in psychophysical efficiency. Insomnia can be said to occur, among other things, when the time to fall asleep exceeds half an hour, the total time waking up during the night lasts longer than half an hour, such a disturbance occurs for at least three nights in a given week and poor sleep quality causes fatigue or reduced psychophysical efficiency during the day.

A temporary sleep disorder usually lasts several days and may be associated with the occurrence of certain factors, such as medical conditions, anxiety, noise, but also inappropriate ambient temperature or a change in time zone.

Typical symptoms of insomnia include:

difficulty falling asleep,
frequent nighttime awakenings,
early morning wake-ups.

Doxylamine has a strong sleep-inducing and sedative effect. This substance effectively shortens the waiting time to fall asleep, while extending the duration and increasing the depth of sleep. The sleep-inducing effect is achieved within 30 minutes and lasts for 6-8 hours after taking the preparation.

Dorminox can be used symptomatically in sporadic sleep disorders. Treatment usually lasts from several days to 1 week. Importantly, the product used according to the leaflet does not have an addictive effect.

  1 coated tablet contains:

active substance: doxylamine hydrogen succinate 12.5 mg,
other ingredients: calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A); colloidal anhydrous silica; magnesium stearate; hypromellose (15 mPa s), polydextrose; talc; titanium dioxide (E 171); maltodextrin; medium chain triglycerides of fatty acids; cochineal red, lake (E 124); sunset yellow, lake (E 110); quinoline yellow, lake (E 104).
