“Composition
Active ingredients
Active substance: 200 mg extract (as dry extract) of Rhodiola rosea L., rhizoma et radix (rhizome and root of Rhodiola) (1.5–5:1) (WS 1375). Extraction solvent: ethanol 67.7% (v/v). For a complete list of excipients, see section 6.1.
Excipients
Microcrystalline cellulose, sodium croscarmellose, precipitated silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, stearic acid, red iron oxide E172, titanium dioxide E171, antifoaming emulsion.
Therapeutic indications
Traditional herbal medicine is indicated for the temporary relief of stress-related symptoms such as fatigue, exhaustion and mild anxiety. The use of this traditional herbal medicine for the stated therapeutic indications is based solely on many years of experience.
Contraindications/Adverse effects
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1. Renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Dosage
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 2 tablets daily. The maximum duration of treatment is 14 days. Paediatric population The safety and efficacy of VITANGO in children under 12 years of age have not yet been established. Directions for use VITANGO should be taken with a glass of water, preferably 30 minutes before meals.
Storage
This medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions.
Warnings
Patients suffering from mood disorders should undergo appropriate treatment.
Interactions
None known. Avoid concomitant use of other products containing alcohol or acting on the central nervous system. Rhodiola rosea extracts are potential inhibitors of the CYP450 enzyme, so drug interactions may occur.
Side effects
The following cases have been reported: hypersensitivity reactions and hypoglycemia.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. The use of VITANGO during pregnancy and breastfeeding should only be considered if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus or child.”
