Formigran® contains 2.5 mg naratriptan hydrochloride, a selective 5‑HT₁B/₁D agonist (a “triptan”) used for the emergency treatment of migraine attacks—with or without aura. It constricts dilated cranial blood vessels and alleviates inflammation, addressing both headache and associated symptoms such as nausea, photophobia, and phonophobia.
Key Benefits
-
Rapid migraine relief: One tablet taken at migraine onset relieves pain and associated symptoms—nausea and light/noise sensitivity included.
-
Single-dose simplicity: Only one tablet should be taken per migraine episode; a second may be used only if symptoms recur after ≥ 4 hours, with a maximum of 2 tablets per 24 hours.
-
No prescription required: Available over the counter in EU pharmacies for adults aged 18–65; not recommended for adolescents under 18 or seniors over 65.
How to Use
-
Take as soon as migraine begins, preferably at first signs of headache—not as a preventive measure .
-
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
-
If the first dose helps initially but migraine returns, a second dose can be taken no sooner than 4 hours later—only if relief was achieved after the first dose.
-
Do not exceed 2 tablets in 24 hours, and do not take a second dose if the first had no effect
