“Directions
Nicoretteici 2 mg tablets are useful for the treatment of tobacco dependence, relieving withdrawal symptoms and nicotine cravings in smokers aged 18 years and over. The ultimate goal is permanent cessation of tobacco use.

Nicoretteici 2 mg tablets are suitable for smokers with low nicotine dependence, such as those who smoke their first cigarette of the day more than 30 minutes after waking up or smoke less than 20 cigarettes per day.

Composition
Each tablet contains:
2 mg nicotine (as nicotine gum).
Excipients: Tablet core: mannitol (E421), xanthan gum Winterfresh RDE4–149, sprayed (gum arabic (E414), peppermint, menthol and eucalyptus flavours), anhydrous sodium carbonate (E500)(i) sucralose (E955), acesulfame potassium (E950), magnesium stearate. Dosage and administration
The dose of lozenges to be administered will depend on the person’s smoking habit.
Place one lozenge in your mouth and allow it to dissolve. Move the lozenge from one side of your mouth to the other from time to time until it dissolves completely (about 16-19 minutes). Do not chew or swallow the tablet whole.
Do not eat or drink while taking the lozenge. Liquids that lower the pH of the oral cavity, such as coffee, fruit juices and carbonated drinks, may reduce the absorption of nicotine in the mouth. To ensure optimal absorption of nicotine, do not drink these liquids for 15 minutes before taking the lozenges.

The patient must completely stop smoking during treatment with Nicoretteisi lozenges.

The lozenges should be used whenever you feel the urge to smoke. Take a sufficient number of lozenges each day; most smokers usually need 8-12 lozenges, with a maximum of 15. The duration of treatment varies from person to person, but a maximum of 6 weeks of treatment is recommended to quit smoking.

The nicotine dose should be reduced gradually, reducing the total number of lozenges taken per day. If daily consumption is less than 1-2 lozenges, treatment should be discontinued. Take one lozenge each time you feel the urge to smoke to completely abstain from smoking. Keep the remaining tablets to take in case you suddenly feel like smoking. If you take the tablets for more than 6 months, it is recommended to consult a doctor for further support and help.

Warnings
The tablets should not be used for longer than 6 months. If users still feel the need for treatment, consult a doctor. Advice and support from behavioral therapy will increase the likelihood of success.
Nicoretteici 2 mg tablets are not recommended for use by people under 18 years of age.
