- Indications:
- short-term treatment of exacerbations of rheumatoid diseases, such as:
- rheumatoid arthritis,
- juvenile rheumatoid arthritis,
- ankylosing spondylitis.
- Contraindications:
- If you are allergic to meloxicam or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- If you are hypersensitive to another medicine belonging to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), e.g. acetylsalicylic acid.
- If you have experienced attacks of shortness of breath or asthma, hives, nasal polyps or angioedema while taking other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid).
- If you have severe liver failure.
- If you have severe kidney failure and are not receiving dialysis treatment.
- If you have an active or recurrent stomach or duodenal ulcer (two or more episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding).
- If you have had a cerebral hemorrhage or other bleeding, e.g. from the gastrointestinal tract.
- If you have severe heart failure
