The active ingredient of the drug is inosine pranobexum.
1 tablet contains inosine pranobex 500 mg.
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, polyvinylpyrrolidone K90, magnesium stearate.
Dosage
Adults, including elderly people (over 65 years of age): the recommended daily dose is 50 mg/kg body weight per day, the usual daily dose is 6 tablets (3 g) per day (i.e. 2 tablets 3 times a day). The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets (4 g) per day (i.e. 2 tablets 4 times a day).
Children over 1 year of age: the recommended dose is 50 mg/kg body weight per day, divided into several doses. It is recommended that children who cannot swallow tablets be given INUPRIN syrup.
Directions for use: The drug should be administered orally. The tablet should be taken with an appropriate amount of liquid, preferably water. If swallowing the entire tablet is difficult, the tablets can be crushed and dissolved in a small amount of liquid to make the medication easier to take.
Duration of treatment: The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 14 days. After the symptoms disappear, the drug should be used for another 1 to 2 days.
Action
Inuprin contains the antiviral inosine pranobex, which in vitro reduces the reproduction of viruses from the herpes group that are pathogenic to humans. Moreover, it stimulates the activity of the immune system, increasing the body’s resistance.
Indications
Inuprin is used in people with reduced immunity as an adjuvant for recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. The tablets can also be prescribed to treat cold sores in patients diagnosed with herpes simplex virus infection.
Contraindications
The drug should not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active substance or any of the ingredients of the drug, or if the patient is currently suffering from an attack of gout.”
