Bibhitaki is a large deciduous tree native to India, growing up to 30 meters in height. The trunk of the tree is straight, brownish-gray in color. The leaves are long, alternately oval, gathered in bunches towards the ends of the branches. They are 7-14 cm wide and 10-12 cm long. Unpretentious and solitary flowers are white or yellow in color with an unpleasant odor. Flowers appear in May. The upper part of the plant is male, the lower part is female. The fruits are gray drupes, ovoid in shape. Sweet seeds inside the hard shell of the fruit have a sweet taste. Its fruits are similar to Haritaki fruits, but without grooves. Bibhitaki is also called Bahedha, a herb that makes people fearless and this herb is one of the ingredients of Triphala, like Haritaki, Bibhitaki and Amalaki.
Uses
Make a paste by adding water, apply on hair, wait for 45-60 minutes, rinse with normal water. Bahedha can be mixed with Amla powder for more intense results.
