“Composition
One film-coated tablet contains:
Active ingredient Zyrtec: 10 mg cetirizine dihydrochloride;
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrous, magnesium stearate, Opadry Y-1-7000 (which includes: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (E 464), titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 400).

Zyrtec Dosage
Zyrtec antihistamine tablets should be swallowed with a glass of liquid and can be taken whole or divided into 2 equal parts according to the following dosage:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: take one tablet per day.
Children from 6 to 12 years of age: take half a tablet twice a day.
Patients with impaired renal function: the recommended dose is half a tablet per day; In case of impaired renal function in adults and children, it is always better to consult a doctor before taking Zyrtec tablets, since cetirizine is excreted mainly through the kidneys.
The duration of treatment depends on the type and duration of the patient’s complaints. If during the treatment you feel that the effect of Zyrtec is too weak or too strong, it is important to consult a doctor.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to any of the excipients. Zyrtec cannot be classified as a lactose-free antihistamine. Therefore, its use should be limited or excluded in patients with lactose intolerance. In this case, it is advisable to scrupulously follow the doctor’s advice.

Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Side effects are rare or very rare.

However, you should stop taking the medicine and tell your doctor immediately if you notice any allergic reactions, including severe reactions, and angioedema (a serious allergic reaction that causes swelling of the face or throat).

These reactions may occur immediately after taking the medicine or later.”
