“Composition
Active ingredients
The active ingredient of cetirizine is, for example, cetirizine dihydrochloride. One film-coated tablet contains cetirizine dihydrochloride 10 mg.
Excipients
Other components: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrous, magnesium stearate.
Coating: Opadry white II (consists of hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), polydextrose (E1200), talc, maltodextrin, medium-chain triglycerides)

Directions
Cetirizine, for example, for the treatment of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as for the treatment of urticaria.

Method of administration and dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are in any doubt, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
The tablets should be swallowed with a glass of liquid;
The tablet can be divided into 2 equal parts.
Adults and adolescents from 12 years: The recommended dose is 10 mg (1 tablet) once a day. Other forms of this medicine may be more suitable for children. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Use in children aged 6 to 12 years: The recommended dose is 5 mg (half a tablet) twice a day. Other forms of this medicine may be more suitable for children; talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Patients with kidney impairment: For patients with moderate kidney impairment, the recommended dose is 5 mg once a day. If you have severe kidney disease, talk to your doctor or pharmacist who can adjust the dose accordingly. If your child has kidney disease, talk to your doctor or pharmacist who can adjust the dose according to your child’s needs.
If you have the feeling that the effect of cetirizine, eg , is too weak or too strong, tell your doctor.
If you forget to take cetirizine, eg : Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you stop taking cetirizine, eg : If you stop taking cetirizine, eg itching (intense tingling)
and/or hives may rarely return.

Warnings
If you have kidney failure , ask your doctor for advice; if necessary, take a lower dose. The new dose will be determined by your doctor.
Ask your doctor for advice if you have problems urinating (due to conditions such as spinal cord injury or bladder or prostate problems).
If you have epilepsy or are at risk of seizures, you should seek advice from your doctor.
No clinically significant interactions have been observed between alcohol (at a blood level of 0.5 per thousand (g/l), which corresponds to a glass of wine) and cetirizine used in the recommended doses. However, there is no data on the safety of taking higher doses of cetirizine and alcohol at the same time. Therefore, as with all antihistamines, it is recommended to avoid taking cetirizine at the same time, for example, with alcohol.
If you need to have an allergy test, ask your doctor whether you should stop taking cetirizine, for example, a few days before the test. This medicine may affect the results of allergy tests.
Children: Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years of age, as the tablet form does not allow the necessary dose adjustment.

Contraindications
Do not take cetirizine, for example, if you have severe kidney disease (severe renal failure with creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min); if you are allergic to cetirizine dihydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, to hydroxyzine or piperazine derivatives (active ingredients of other closely related medicines).”
