- Product description:
Ibuprofen APTEO MED contains 400 mg of ibuprofen, which belongs to a group of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that reduce pain and fever. This drug is used for short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, period pain, toothache and fever.
Ibuprofen APTEO MED at a dose of 400 mg is intended for adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg and more (aged 12 years and over).
- Composition:
Each coated tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen. - Other ingredients are:
Tablet core: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, hypromellose, colloidal anhydrous silica, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate
Tablet coating: Opadry White 03G28692: hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 6000, macrogol 400
Indications:
Short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, period pain, toothache and fever.
If after 3 days for the treatment of fever and 4 days for the treatment of pain there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.
Active substance: Ibuprofen
- Dosage:
Adults and adolescents weighing ≥40 kg (aged 12 years and over):
Take 1 tablet (200 mg to 400 mg ibuprofen) with a glass of water, up to 3 times a day, if necessary.
Do not take more often than every 6 hours.
Do not take more than 1200 mg ibuprofen per day.
Do not give this medicine to adolescents weighing less than 40 kg or children under 12 years of age.
- Contraindications:
if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
if you have had difficulty breathing, asthma, a runny nose, swelling or hives after taking acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) or other similar painkillers (NSAIDs),
if you have a stomach ulcer (or have ever had two or more cases of ulcers) or bleeding from the stomach,
if you have had bleeding or perforation of the digestive tract after taking NSAIDs in the past,
if you have severe kidney, heart or liver failure,
if you have bleeding, including bleeding in the brain (cerebrovascular bleeding),
if you have unexplained disorders of the blood-forming system,
in patients with significant dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake),
in patients in the last trimester of pregnancy.
