- The active substances are plant extracts from valerian root (Valeriana officinalis), lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) with the addition of magnesium heavy oxide (Magnesii oxidum ponderosum) and vitamin B6 (Pyridoxini hydrochloridum).
- 1 capsule contains:
water-alcoholic extract from valerian root 250 mg dry extract from lemon balm leaf 50 mg magnesium heavy oxide 80 mg vitamin B6 5 mg
Excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide, glucose, pregelatinized corn starch, stearic acid. Composition of the gelatin capsule shell: titanium dioxide (E171), red iron oxide (E172), yellow iron oxide (E172), indigotine (E132), azorubine (E122), bovine gelatin (E441).
- Indications:
Extraspasmine is used in the case of:
mild states of nervous tension,
as a supporting agent in periodic difficulties with falling asleep.
- Notes:
Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
The drug may impair the ability to drive and operate machinery.
Properties:
Extraspasmina contains extracts of lemon balm and valerian, which are traditionally used as sedatives.
The drug is intended for traditional use in the above indications and its effectiveness is based only on long-term use and experience.
- Dosage:
This medicine should always be used exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose of Extraspasmina for adults is 1 to 2 capsules 1-3 times a day.
Maximum 6 capsules a day.
If you have difficulty falling asleep: 2 capsules 30-60 minutes before going to bed.
Use with other medicines:
Tell your doctor about all medicines you are currently or recently taking, as well as medicines you plan to take.
Extraspasmina may interact with
levodopa, calcium and iron salts, phosphates and anticoagulants.
tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones (keep a 3-hour break between taking the product and the medicine).
central nervous system depressants (barbiturates, benzodiazepines) and medicines that lower blood pressure (including ACE inhibitors) and cardiac glycosides.
Contraindications:
- When not to use Extraspasmina:
hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the preparation,
severe renal failure,
hypermagnesemia,
heart block,
myasthenia gravis
