“Composition

Active ingredients:
1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride
Excipients
Purified water:
Sodium citrate-2-water
Citric acid monohydrate
Glycerin 85%

Ratiopharm nasal spray is used:
to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa (short-term treatment) in case of rhinitis, episodic rhinitis (vasomotor rhinitis) or allergic rhinitis (allergic rhinitis)
to facilitate the outflow of secretions in case of inflammation of the paranasal sinuses and catarrh of the middle ear tube due to a cold.

Ratiopharm nasal spray is intended for adults and school-age children.

Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose is:
Adults and school-age children should take 1 spray of NazeSpray-ratiopharm® in each nostril as needed – but not more than 3 times a day.
Claim Type:
After removing the protective cap, insert the sprayer into the nostril and pump once. While spraying, gently inhale through your nose. After use, wipe the nasal tube thoroughly with a clean paper tissue and put the protective cap back on.
Hints:
Before first use, press several times until an even spray is obtained. For all subsequent uses, the metered-dose spray is immediately ready for use.
It is advisable to blow your nose thoroughly before using the product. It is advisable to take the last application of each treatment day before going to bed.
Duration of use:
Nasal Spray-ratiopharm® should not be used for more than 7 days without a doctor’s prescription.
Repeated use should only be carried out after a break of several days.

Ratiopharm Nasal Spray must not be used:
if you are allergic to xylometazoline or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
if you suffer from a certain form of chronic cold (dry rhinitis, dry inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose with crusting).
after surgical removal of the pituitary gland through the nose (transsphenoidal hypophysectomy) or other surgeries that expose the meninges.
in infants, toddlers and children under 6 years of age.”
