- DESCRIPTION:
Tanakanto a medicinal product used in mild dementia and impaired cognitive functions, containing ginkgo biloba extract. Tanakan improves cognitive functions and quality of life in patients with mild dementia.
- INDICATIONS:
to reduce symptoms of cognitive and neurological disorders associated with age, such as memory impairment (excluding serious dementia conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease) and to treat symptoms of impaired circulation in old age, such as reduced visual and hearing acuity,
as an aid in improving peripheral circulation – intermittent claudication and in patients with Raynaud’s phenomenon.
- DOSE:
The medicine is administered orally. Take the tablets during meals with 1/2 glass of water.
Adults: 3 x 1 tablet, spread throughout the day.
STORAGE METHOD:
The medicine should be stored out of the sight and reach of children. Store at a temperature below 25°C.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist what to do with medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.
- INGREDIENTS:
Gingko folia extractum siccum DER 35-67:1 containing 21.6-26.4% flavone glycosides, 2.8-3.4% ginkgolides A, B and C and 2.603.2% bilobalide. Extractant: acentone 60%.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, talc, magnesium stearate, hydromellose, macrogol 400, macrogol 6000, titanium dioxide, red iron oxide.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The most common side effects reported are: abdominal pain, diarrhoea and dizziness.
If you experience a serious hypersensitivity reaction (angioedema) that causes swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, you should stop taking this medicine and seek urgent medical attention.
