Desloratadine – 1 tablet contains active ingredient desloratadine – 5.0 mg
Excipients: calcium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous – 32.50 mg; microcrystalline cellulose (type 12) – 65.85 mg; pregelatinized starch – 19.50 mg, zinc stearate – 1.95 mg, talc – 5.20 mg.
Composition of the film shell: Opadry blue 03F205011 (including: hypromellose (HPMC 2910) – 3.125 mg, titanium dioxide – 1.425 mg, macrogol 4000 (polyethylene glycol 4000) – 0.3125 mg, indigo carmine dye FD&C blue 2 – 0.1375 mg) – 5.00 mg.
Method of administration and dosage
Orally, regardless of food intake.
The tablet should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with a small amount of water.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 1 tablet (5 mg) 1 time per day.
Treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (duration of symptoms less than 4 days a week or less than 4 weeks) should be carried out taking into account the history of the disease, after the disappearance of symptoms, treatment can be stopped. If symptoms recur, treatment can be resumed.
For year-round allergic rhinitis (duration of symptoms for 4 or more days a week and more than 4 weeks), patients can be recommended continuous treatment during periods of exposure to the allergen.
Indications
• seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis (elimination or relief of sneezing, nasal congestion, nasal discharge, itching in the nose, itching of the palate, itching and redness of the eyes, lacrimation);
• urticaria (reduction or elimination of skin itching, rash).
Contraindications
• hypersensitivity to desloratadine, loratadine, as well as any of the components of the drug;
• pregnancy;
• breastfeeding period;
• children under 12 years of age.
With caution
Severe renal failure.
History of seizures.
The use of the drug during pregnancy is contraindicated due to the lack of data on the safety of desloratadine during pregnancy.
Desloratadine is excreted in breast milk, so the use of the drug during breastfeeding is contraindicated.
Special instructions
No studies have been conducted on the effectiveness of the drug in rhinitis of infectious etiology.
The drug should be taken with caution in patients with a history of seizures, especially in pediatric patients. In case of seizures, it is necessary to stop taking the drug.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles, mechanisms
The potential possibility of developing side effects such as dizziness and drowsiness should be taken into account. If the described adverse events occur, you should refrain from driving vehicles and engaging in other activities that require concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.
